WHO WE ARE

Unione dei Comuni della Bassa Romagna is an Italian local public body composed by 9 municipalities (Alfonsine, Bagnacavallo, Bagnara di Romagna, Conselice, Cotignola, Fusignano, Lugo, Massa Lombarda and Sant’Agata sul Santerno).

With more than 100.000 inhabitants living in the above listed municipalities, Unione dei Comuni della Bassa Romagna is the largest union in the Emilia Romagna region and it is among the largest ones in the entire country.

Operating in an associated form on behalf of all participating municipalities, UCBR is involved in several sectors, such as:

• Youth and immigration policies;
• Demographic coordination;
• Environmental, Social and Healthcare protection;
• School and education

Our activities are aimed at sustaining civil society on a local level; encouraging civic values; empowering youth; fostering social inclusion of vulnerable groups and promoting non-formal education.

Among our projects aimed at promoting the inclusion of the foreign population we can count a help desk open to support immigrant population and their regular permanence on our territory.

We also operate in the scholastic and extra-scholastic fields to foster social inclusion and integration based on the full enhancement of youth activism. Our projects for young people revolve around common interests like culture, entrepreneurship, Europe, and the promotion of youth activism and talents.
